Guppy and Mystic's nine (9!!!) kittens

Past kittens!

Four little black panthers and only ONE can stay in the breeding program, what to do?!  After 4 long months, a decision is made! Print and Arial are now available to approved pet homes. These guys are the brothers of another mother – best buddies and I would LOVE for them to go together but both are so sweet and full of personality that I know they would do well in any situation!  If you’ve ever dreamed of a panther of your own (who purrs on demand and lovingly meets your eyes)… well, look no further!

Printer and Arial have found their forever homes!

Meet the parents of the Printer kittens!

IW BW SGC LAPD Shaft of Legendtales is the sire...

Many thanks to Amy Mangefeste of Legendtales and Shaft’s breeder, Emmons Brown of LAPD, for allowing this big beautiful boy to provide some wonderful outcross for my Mishikoonz girls. Shaft is the ultimate black panther with a lion’s mane and the personality I so adore in Maine Coons. Just looking at him earns a purr and a head butt!  Best of all, as you can see from his kittens, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree!

Maine Coons are a breed that is slow to mature. At almost 9 years old, Shafty is now a fully mature male, but he didn’t start out like that!  From kitten to young adult to full grown boy – left to right.

And the mom-cats...

Mishikoonz La Reina du Chiffon "Dishrag or Dishy"

Mishikoonz Mowich Lake
"Witchy"

Dishrag and Shaft had four kittens born November 29- three solid blacks (one with a tiny chest locket) and a solid white with a generous smudge of color between the ears. (Breeders call this a “hearing spot” because white kittens born without it are frequently deaf – the color disappears over time but it’s a happy sign on a solid white baby!)  Pete and I joked that the babies looked like Xerox copies from a bad toner, and so the “Printer Kittens” were named: First Print, Reprint, Inkblot and Paper Smudge. Less than a week later, on December 4th, Witchy and Shaft’s little two  completed the theme: another solid black (pudgy little Arial Wide), and a crazy colored tortie who could only be a PaperJam.  Witchy and Dishy, being BFFs, wanted to raise their babies together, so I can’t help thinking of them as a single litter!

Introducing the "Printer kittens"

First Print” A solid black boy with energy to spare.

“Reprint”  First Print in a girl version!  She will be staying with Mishikoonz

Inkblot”  Inky stayed local! She is in her happy home near Portland.

Paper Smudge”, the world traveler now known as Mishikoonz Aquilo of LeatherandLace! Amsterdam, are you ready?

“Arial Wide”  Fluffiest, plumpest kitten ever – but better than that, what a purr-box!

Paper Jam” The color says it all!  Little Jam is now living in Phoenix, training for her new career as a Queen of Legendtales!
